Information about VISA
Welcome to the Information of the Visa Section of the German Consulate
General in Chennai!
With the help of the following internet pages we would like to provide visa
information in order to enable you to apply for your visa as efficiently
as possible.
In addition to this introductory page there are three sections of visa
information available:
The section "General Visa Information" provides the current visa fees,
information on biometric specifications for passport photos and hints
on how to manage our online data entry service "visa extern".
In the section "Schengen Visa" you will find detailed information on
the most frequently used types of Schengen Visas (e.g. Business Visas,
Tourist Visas) as well as on Transit Visas. Besides, there are information
sheets and all required application forms available for download.
The section "German National Residence Permits" offers information
on residence permits, e.g. for work, family reunion for spouses and
children (incl. document verifications and language requirements), studies
in Germany etc. There are information sheets and application
forms for availabel for download as well.
